ALL PEOPLE COMPETING IN AN EVENT ON A HORSE

OR IN A PEOPLE EVENT MUST BE A MEMBER.

 

 

CONDITIONS as on program:

Ø    Non Professional Riders Only.

Ø    All riders in flat races to be 15 years and over.

Ø    Riders under10 years must choose either under 10 led or under 14 ridden events and stay in that group unless otherwise stated on the programme.

Ø    Approved helmets to be worn in all events. Novelty events run under Committee Rules based on  A.N.R.A. Rules. Copies available at Secretary's Office.

Ø    Minimum weight for all flat races 63.5kg., except Jumbo, live weight 73 kg., race weight minimum 83kg.

Ø    Judges decision is final. 

Ø    All riders to be approved by the Committee.

Ø    The Committee reserves the right to alter or delete any part of the programme.

Ø    The Committee has the right to remove or order from the grounds any person or horse acting in a dangerous or uncontrollable manner as to cause embarrassment or injury to others.

Ø    No rider to partake of intoxicating drink before last race.

Ø    Competitors in flat races to wear Colours, some Club Colours available.

Ø    NO DOGS ALLOWED

Ø    NO GLASS  ALLOWED in Public Area

 

RULES AND BY-LAWS of the 
NANUA PICNIC RACE AND QUARTER HORSE CLUB INCORPORATED
Formed August 25th 1945

Revised April 2006 

  • The decision of the Committee on the construction or interpretation of any rule shall be conclusive and binding upon all members of the Club.

  • The Committee shall have the power to enter into such contracts on behalf of the Club as they may think advisable, and may at all times dispose of the Club’s funds as they consider best for carrying out the objects thereof.

  • The Secretary shall enter in a book provided for the purpose, the names and addresses of all members of the Club.

  • All resolutions passed at any meeting shall be binding on all members whether present at such meeting or not.

  • The Secretary shall be ex-officio member of the Committee, and shall be entitled to take part in debate at any of the Club’s meetings.

  • At all meetings of members and at all Committee meetings, the Chairman shall have a deliberative, and in case of equality of votes also a casting vote.

  • If any member shall willfully infringe any of the rules of the Club, or any of the by-laws of the Committee or if any member shall, in the opinion of the Committee, be guilty of conduct derogatory to the character of the gentlepersons, or prejudicial to the interests of the Club, it shall be in the power of the Committee to suspend such member from all privileges of the Club.

  • No member of the Club, or ceasing from any cause to be a member shall be entitled to or have any claim upon any portion whatsoever of the property of the Club.

  • Members must communicate any change of address to the Secretary.

  •  The Secretary shall receive all entrance fees, subscriptions and other moneys on account of the Club and his/her receipt shall be a sufficient discharge.

  •  An account shall be opened in a financial institution   in the name of Nanua Picnic Race and Quarter Horse Club Incorporated. All payments shall be made under order of the Treasurer. All cheques are to be signed by the Treasurer, and any one other approved Committee Member.

  • The Treasurer shall keep an account of all moneys received and disposed, and submit the same to the Committee at each of their meetings and any other time the Committee may think fit.

  •  Any member wishing to make any suggestion or com plaint must do so to the Secretary in writing and any suggestion or complaint shall be laid before the Committee with as little delay as possible, and an answer sent by the Secretary under their direction.

  •  No existing general rule shall be repealed or altered or any new general rule made without the sanction of two-thirds of those members present at a General    Meeting. Any member intending to move to have any rule rescinded or altered, or any new rule added, must give Notice of Motion to the Secretary in writing and seconded by another member of the Club not later than one (1) month before the General Meeting.

    Wow, what another fantastic weekend you guys organized.

    My partner and I were two of the people who came up with the Lloyd family from Mildura.

    We missed last year, but were there for the two years prior to that when it was quite hot.

    This year you really turned on great weather, great atmosphere, great food, and excellent entertainment.

    Congratulations to all who put in such a great effort, it is a lot of hard work, and you guys have the knack of how to do it.

    Well done.  You will see us next year.

    Hi there

    Last year was my first Nanua experience I went with the people from Morgan SA as they have done for many years. I have done a bit of travelling in the outback & must say the Nanua Races are as unique as Birdsville. I thought that the event would be cancelled because of the horse flu but it was great to see that the event will go on. Will be there again this year with my daughter and as shes just turned 16  we have decided to make this an event that will bring us together each year for the rest of our lives...thanks for an absolutely unique all Australian weekend!
